Apatosaurus/Brontosaurus Archaeopteryx Brachiosaurus

Apatosaurus, previously known as Brontosaurus

He (or she), had legs the size of tree trunks, but unlike Rambo, never ate meat.

The First Known Bird Ever

Probably not as agile as a canary, and he may have kept bumping into things, but as far as we know, this was the first ever bird !

There weren't any girraffes in the ancient world, so who was tall enough to eat all the high leaves, off the lush trees ?

Triceratops

Tyrannosaurus

Velociraptor

Triceratops

If you met one of these fearsome looking guys, you probably wouldn't be in too much danger, since he was a vegitarian - a little like an ancient cow.

You'd need some way of defending yourslef, if you met this fellow - perhaps a bazooka or a tank.

Velociraptor

Velociraptor was a little like a small T-rex, but hung around in gangs, to make up for his lack in size.

Albertosaurus Stegosaurus Iguanadon

Albertosaurus

T-rex had an admirer here, but not really a competitor.

Stegosaurus was a common plant-eating dinosaur in western North America during the Late Jurassic Period

He looks completely frightening, but in reality, unless you were a vegetable, you were probably quite safe.

Now, I wonder where rumours of dragons and flying serpents, came from ?
